Remember when mom and dad sat you down and told you the golden rule? well that applies here too. we're not going to sit you down and pound this into your head, because it should already be there. basically, here at Live In the Moment, we expect you to behave in a respectful manner. by registering at our site, that means that you've agreed to behave respectfully towards the admins and the other members.

We absolutely love, drama, who doesn’t ?! but let's save it for our characters, shall we? there will be no bashing of other people, or their characters, when you're out of character. and no, you can't have your character say something to bash someone on the board either. say please and thank you, hold doors open, and smile when someone says something nice.

please do not harass other members. what is considered harassment? well of course, any harassment concerning someone's sexual orientation, race, personality, etc. but we're talking more about plotting. we understand that you want to get your characters going. but people have lives, okay? if someone doesn't respond to you when you ask them something, please do not ask again. we all have busy lives and rping is just something extra and fun and creative, so we don't need to be harassed about our characters, etc.

as for the cbox, the same rules apply. if we see a cbox fight, you will be banned from the cbox without a warning. please remember that the cbox is for out of character chatting, and we hope that you take advantage of it because it’s the best way to get to know those that you’re rping with.

if you ever feel uncomfortable, please pm an admin. you will remain completely anonymous, we promise, but we need to know what's going on.

the moral of the story is that you will not be warned before being banned if the rule that you’re breaking has to do with respect. as for posting, and cbox spamming, we all make mistakes, so we’re going to use the three strikes rules, and then you’ll be banned. that seems, fair, right?
now the fun stuff -- your characters !!! here's the good news: you can have as many as you want, as long as they all stay active. yes, all of them. please don't make six characters if you don't intend to plot with them.

we expect that you can get a post up at least every month (yes, that can include cell phone/im threads. stay active though), unless of course you’ve posted in the absence forum and you won’t be on. We don't want a bunch of characters created and no posts.

also, let's be realistic. this is a Real life site, so we need to keep it that way. that means that no one has wings or horns. also, please make sure that you're making a character that's not going to scare the admins and the other members. we don't scare easy, but we will be freaked out if your character is into bestiality, necrophilia or incest (for those of you who don’t know, that means don’t make your character be into animals, dead people or family members). not only is that gross, but it’s against the law, and we’re not going to stand for it, alright?

don't make someone that's not going to fit in AT ALL on our board. we're all for diversity and whatnot, but if your character is someone who has no chance of making friends here, because they're a giant creep with no likable things about them, you might not want to make them.

also, for character ratios, let's keep it even, okay? so what does that mean? for every two girls that you have, you must have a boy. it's pretty simple, right? we don't want a bunch of girls running around with no guys!

as for pregnancy, etc, we feel that since they're your character you can do what you want with them. but we'll step in and say something if every single girl on the board is getting pregnant/has a kid, because that's not reality. as for killing a character, pm an admin first.

this is the 'everything else' section of the rules. pretty fun, right? you're almost done!! okay, little things. to start, you must be over thirteen to be a member here. those are Proboards's rules, and we will not accept you if you are not of the appropriate age. no exceptions, sorry.

as for swearing, we're all for it, we don't mind, but don't curse like there's no tomorrow. no one swears every other word, and we don't like it.
